Personally known as League of the Monsieurs, the French League 1 reached week 8 a couple of days ago and what we all assumed hasn't started falling in place. Before I proceed with the report card for week 8, let me start by welcoming you all to the French League 1.
Welcome to the League of Monsieurs
Moving forward with today's business about the updates of the French League 1.
Not many goals as expected were registered in these fixtures of week 8 in the French League 1. Quiet night for both Nantes and PSG as they both went away to narrow their way pass to claim all 3 points with lone goals as they defeated Lyon and Girondins respectively.
French League 1 week 8 results
Niza were fortunate enough to tame Lille and that got them a well-deserved point against the biting visitors.
Stade de Reims were unfortunate as they were defeated at home by Dijon but Monaco were up and running like a moving train as they trashed Brest in an entertaining 5 goals showdown.
Metz and Angers were unable to shake off their visitors as both teams had to settle for a draw against Toulouse and Amiens respectively.
Estrasburgo picked up a victory at home against struggling Montpellier, Nimes suffered a home defeat to Saint-Etienne and Marsella could only settle for a draw at home against Rennes.
That's all for now, stay tuned for more
