Welcome to League 1
This is the week 9 of the French League 1 and we are about to have an insight of what happened in the League 1.
Week 8 of the French League 1 was shallow with goals except for Monaco's big win at home against Brest but this week's results show a lot of goals and a big disappointment for week 8 big winners Monaco.
Amiens at home against Marseille got things started for week 9 fixtures and the home side were able to ease past Marseille. At the Capital, PSG once again showed dominance and quality as they trashed impressive Angers in an entertaining 4 goals showdown.
French League 1 week 9 results
Nantes were lucky enough at home to edge passed Niza in a silent fixture that seemed a little bit shabby. Toulouse couldn't hold their ground at home against Girondins as they fell heavily in a 3-1 defeat at home.
Montpellier were up and running at home against a classic Monaco side, with precision and focus, they were able to displace Monaco to make up for their last fixture lost again Estrasburgo.
Brest refused to stay down after a huge lost to Monaco away from home in their last fixture, as they entertained Metz at home with a deserved winning to claim all 3 points.
Dijon defeated Estrasburgo in a close one, Lille could only share points at home against Nimes after a fun filled draw, Rennes were defeated at home by Stade de Reims and Saint-Etienne won ugly at home by defeating Lyon in a tight matchup.
