Is Trump's legend came to its end?

The decisions and steps taken by US President Donald Trump have been controversial both internally and externally, to the extent that some of his country's newspapers have asked: Did the Trump ship start drowning?

The New York Times published an article by Michael Goldberg referring to the press conference hastily convened by national security adviser Herbert Raymond McMaster at the White House on Monday evening.

The author added that once Chancellor McMaster tried to deny reports that Trump had had very secret information with Russia until Trump himself confirmed these reports with two tweets he made the following morning.

Goldberg noted that this adviser spent decades serving the American nation and defending it with integrity, but Trump squandered everything his adviser had said in less than 12 hours.

He said the American nation needed officials to stay in government, such as Defense Secretary James Matisse, in order to discourage the start of a nuclear war, but there are many officials with or without names, who hold positions that do not serve the nation.

Goldberg called on Trump's aides to make their resignations immediately, in the interest of the nation and their interests.

Trump still has real admiration for many across the United States, but he has little evidence of such admiration for his staff in Washington, in an atmosphere of discontent.

Goldberg said some of Trump's aides were confused and upset about how he reached his decisions.

"This is a free advice to them that they have come," he said. "It is time to give up, because his ship is inevitably sunk.

In the same vein, the Washington Post quoted legal analysts as saying Trump would have obstructed justice if James Comey believed in his claim that Trump had asked him to close the investigation with former national security adviser General Michael Flynn, A secret memo dating back to comey himself.

She added in a separate analysis that President Trump is reeling and is on his way to an inevitable and decisive confrontation of an undeniable charge of sharing covert information with the Russians.
