    Loos like a real thing and they seem to be targeting specific channel groups, like Omnia et al.

        That's what I thought, otherwise I really don't know why they'd be doing that... for the LULZ?! Anyway, yeah, lots of views! If Steemit paid for the views alone, I'd be rich right now, lol ;)

          Unfortunately you need the votes for that. It's designed to prevent abuse using bots etc.
