My daughter asked me about this last night, I basically told her what you just said, "There are factions whose sole purpose is to create division and generate fear. We don't see the true terrorists on television, they hide behind the curtain like the wizard of oz."
Ever since I joined this platform I've been telling people the greatest thing about it is that it's the first real global social media, that it completely erases borders and removes cultural and racial divides. Only a fraction of the people I've become close to on here are from the US, and I regularly talk to people from more than a dozen countries worldwide.

The thing that always troubles me about these kinds of terrorist incidents is how they seem to arise from a broader subtext of INTENSE ANGER. Why are so many people so angry? And why are we so busy dealing with the "symptoms" of that anger... rather than trying to get to the root of it?
Simply "believing in something" is rarely enough to make someone take up arms and kill... below that has to be some RAGE that typically comes from a sense of hopelessness and being disenfranchised. How did those seeds get planted, in the first place? Who's accountable?
That's where change needs to happen...
