Download it to your hard disk, downloads directory, from whatever source you find it on originally; the web, your own camera, whatever.
Then, drag and drop it into the composition window you post to steemit in. From that point you can read about how to center it, but I never do. I just drag it to somewhere in my post and leave it there.
