Like many people who saw the homegoing service for Aretha Franklin, I wondered why the Minister Louis Farrakhan was 'seemingly', not allowed to speak. I mean they let everyone, their mother, father brother AND sister get up there, to speak, sing, and blaspheme. We even saw Bishop Holy Gropes on full display, unaware of the gravitas that is social media today. That grope seen around the world, happened in minutes, and it was probably the only thing talked about more. So just why was Louis Farrakhan Silent? .......
Peep the insight from Brother Ben X, on why Minister Farrakhan did not Speak at Aretha Franklin's Funeral....
These insights are pure gems. For context, please understand that Brother Ben X works within the nation of islam, and is very much up to date, and informed on all things concerning the Nation. So if you did want to get your information accurate, he is one of several quality sources I'd recommend.
The 'reason' he provides, is that apparently, Farrakhan asked not to speak. I was recently in a 'fight' ... with a sellout who told me that, and I did not believe her. I guess they knew what they were talking about, on that point. Still, what Brother Ben X states is so powerful ....
Humility Matters :: it does not always have to be about YOU!
I agree, that his prescense alone, on that stage, with all those 'spokes persons' spoke volumes. Just as Ben X states, several articles (including this one) have been (and i'm sure will be) written, about his being in attendance, alone. Add to that, the expressions of joy and pure entertainment on the face, that is pretty clear to all of us watching. Especially when Michael Eric Dyson was up talking, but too, while Fantasia sang, barefoot, entirely tuned into the 'spirit' of the service.
As long as he's got that smile, I'm good! - Brother Ben X, talking about Minister Louis Farrakhan, not speaking at Aretha Franklin's homegoing service.
The minister knows who he is. He makes other people feel special, and greets each person at that service as if they are even more important than he is. While I am not an avid follower of any 'religion', I love the messages put forth by Brother Ben X in this video. These truly are lessons that matter ...
Your Value Is Not Dictated by Social Media
I just wrote about how our 'value' is not determined by Social Media. To add to that, it also is not defined by social interactions. How others see us, is not as important as, how we see ourselves. That lesson is on fully display here. We see, a pure example of not acting like we have to always be the show. You and I have to learn to remain humble... at al times, enjoying ourselves, and taking it in.
That being said, the humility we need to have includes not 'over-valuing' ourselves too. As a libra, I can appreciate all messages that speak to, the need for balance. The way others value us, should have no impact on how we value ourselves. AT the same time ...let us not value ourselves So much that we overlook the value of others.
