The Independent reports that British law will be changed to allow cannabis to be prescribed medicinally by doctor! A victory for sanity indeed!
As helpful as this is for so many seriously ill people, including those with epilepsy, parkinson's disease and cancer who can now benefit from the balancing effects of the mighty cannabis plant - it remains to be seen exactly what form this 'legalising' will take.
Let's also not forget that this is actually the ending of an unjust and almost demonic control over a freely occurring plant on the planet by people who must surely have known what they were doing all along. Could it be that this is really just an allowance for pharmaceutical companies to sell cannabis based products - getting rich in the process? By ensuring that general growth of plants is still prohibited this will just be another market opening up for government cronies - albeit one that might actually help some people heal instead of just suppressing symptoms and denying causes.
Cannabis is a very interesting plant from a healing perspective, its psychoactive nature means that it inspires the mind and self to change, which in turn can change belief systems and then also emotions and actually then change biology too. This shift in chemistry and psychology can be very powerful and it is important to understand that in many cases the healing process requires the changing of beliefs and mental patterns, it is not just a straight chemical process.
That said, it appears there are 1000s of people who will go on record to testify that their cancer was reversed by use of large amounts of cannabis oil and I have seen myself the videos of those with parkison's disease have their tremors and paralysis completely reversed minutes after smoking cannabis.
What kind of mentally ill people would classify a freely available, cheap plant that can end such suffering as being 'illegal' in the first place? I suggest they all need to hit the bong as far as possible!

Indian people specially hindu community consume cannabis on special days called Mahashivratri ( a night devoted to lord shiva) and Holi ( a hindu festival). Earlier text about use of cannabis is mention in vedas ( sacred text of hinduism ). Vedas were written around 2000 BC. Importance of cannabis is described as holy herb which can relieve pain, reduce anger and attain spirituality. Description in vedas about cannabis ( aka bhaang ) is an event taken place between Devas ( Gods ) and Asuras ( demons ) while they were churning of an ocean. There were two elixirs produced as a result and gods run away from site with amrita ( elixir of life ). Demons chased them in order to take it back and consume . While running some drops of Amrita ( life of elixir ) fall on surface of earth and cannabis came into existence from that place.

Great news! I do suspect that governments around the world will first make sure the big pharma companies will get most of the profit, if not the monopoly, before legalizing it. We'll see!! But it's amazing that smoking tobacco is legal - and everyone knows that it will kill people eventually - and smoking cannabis is not.
