The ADL unveiled its new strategy to deal with online hate. The Online Hate Idex (OHI)

"The Online Hate Index (OHI), a joint initiative of ADL’s Center for Technology and Society and UC Berkeley’s D-Lab, is designed to transform human understanding of hate speech via machine learning into a scalable tool that can be deployed on internet content to discover the scope and spread of online hate speech. Through a constantly-evolving process of machine learning, based on a protocol developed by a team of human coders as to what does and does not constitute hate speech, this tool will uncover and identify trends and patterns in hate speech across different online platforms, allowing us to push for the changes necessary to ensure that online communities are safe and inclusive spaces. We have completed the first phase of the process in making this a reality, and are eager to advance the project. Critically, the tool is able to identify individual instances of hateful and abusive speech, helping solve a problem that has been inadequately addressed through reliance on platform users to report instances of abuse and violations of terms of service agreements."

    I just joined Steemit after witnessing the recent YouTube purge. I wrote my intro post today and also included ADL’s hate index which is truly disturbing. Freedom of Speech is now blacklisted according to ADL. I also posted about the new censorship algorithm and shadow banning on Facebook and Twitter. Subbed, looking forward to more of your content.

      I think we all pretty much by now know who promotes this rubbish, and they rule the USA from the middle east, end AIPAC, or name them a foreign agent at least, and problem gone, in an instant. Then the UK can baby sit them again, like they were supposed to after the Balfour declaration, before the UK went bust after countless misadventures overseas, sound familiar yet?

        I get the feeling they have just decided to throw all pretence to one side, caution to the wind and go with it .. I guess from their perspective it's now or never! This is just so blatant and creepy, it really reminds me of the famous poem, just exchange a few of the labels and names and the same process is playing out around us:

        First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
