I read this article and I think it’s an interesting idea. Allow family members to submit a petition to have someone’s gun taken away from them temporarily if they’ve shown signs of danger. Shift some of the power to the people instead of depending so much on clunky bureaucracy. Of course, it’d have to be a process that’s designed carefully, as with anything that can be used to take someone’s rights away.
