Former Chief Minister of Bihar and state's Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was found guilty. The special CBI court today gave the verdict on Saturday.

Judge Shibpal Singh pronounced this verdict in the special court of Jharkhand's capital, Ranchi, in the special court. The judge will announce the sentence on January 3. But today the police took Lalu Prasad into prison. Lalu Prasad Yadav, who came to Ranchi with son Tejshi Yadav on the night, came to the court.

Several cases were filed in the CBI court in Bihar on the corruption of the purchase of Rs 89 crore rupee fodder. In 2013, a case was filed in the CBI case against the accused for fraudulent withdrawal of fake value for purchase of fodder from Chebahas Treasury and fined Rs 5 lakh. Lalu Prasad lost his MP post after the case and he was banned from contesting for six years. Lalu Prasad was later released on bail from the Supreme Court.

The verdict today was declared in the corruption case of the purchase of fodder from the Deoghar Treasury. During the period from 1994 to 1996, when the Chief Minister of Bihar submitted a fake price receipt, he was embezzled Rs 89 crore from Deoghar and Quayasaha and other treasury.
In today's case, seven people were acquitted of former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra. Lalu Prasad Yadav, 15 people were convicted.

Meanwhile, the RJD told a press conference after the verdict was announced, they will appeal against this verdict in a higher court.
