Madonna, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) and English comedian John Oliver - among many other people - have already showed their support to #EleNao (#NotHim) movement. This video will bring you up to speed about what #EleNao entails
You can find your nearest diplomatic representations of Brasil - including Embassies addresses - on this link http://www.portalconsular.itamaraty.gov.br/representacoes-do-brasil-no-mundo
During the first round of elections on Sunday 07 October 2018, many Brasilian people supporting #EleNao outside the Brasilian Embassy / diplomatic voting venue and have been subject of:
Intimidation
Harrassment
Threats of violence
Verbal attacks
Physical assaults
Evangelical Religious extremism
Please note that it goes without saying that some behaviours are obviously criminal in your country, but the same type of behaviour may be interpreted as normal among religiously radicalised Brasilian people, specially when the criminal behaviour is towards a woman or a gay person or a black person. It may be interpreted as normal, even by the victim, who may have been brought in such an environment.
Some supporters of the wanna be dictator, Shitnaro, have started a very bizarre modus operandi of drawing swastikas around Brasil. A 19 year old lady has recently been attacked by 3 men who engraved a swastika in her tummy with a pocket knife because she was wearing the words #EleNao on her shirt. A well known capoeira master has been knifed to death for expressing that he would not vote for Shitnaro http://lgbtbulletin.com/2018/10/12/brazil-elections-hate-crimes-reported-include-a-murder-and-a-swastika-attack/ .
You are kindly invited to:
Show your solidarity and support of #EleNao outside all Embassies of Brasil on Sunday 28 October 2018 between 0800h and 1800h . You could take #EleNao or #Pride or #MeToo banners - the colour representative of #EleNao is purple and also the #Pride Rainbow. You can also help by filming / taking pictures of people harrassing #EleNao protesters and help protesters on reporting criminal incidents to local police. Many Brasilian people living abroad do not speak the local language fluently and/or they do not know how to report a crime.
Write to your nearest Embassy of Brasil and ask for them to liaise with local police and organise heavy on foot police presence in and around the locations where Brasilians living abroad are required to vote.
Write to the local police of an Embassy of Brasil and request that they provide heavy on foot police presence in and around the locations where Brasilians are required to vote.
If you know of a non-Brasilian company sponsoring a Shitnaro supporter, make sure you write to the company asking them to withdraw their sponsorship. No companies want to be associated with people who support violence against women, black or gay people.
