Guns

in news •  7 years ago  (edited)

In our quest "to blame" and to find some complicated political and social answer..., we have missed a simple truth and the heart of the matter.

A gun, with its killing-power, in the hands of an adolescent male, does the same thing to a human mind that cocaine does.

You can get the same adrenaline-rush by driving a very fast car or winning a high-dollar poker tournament.

Ultimately - nothing is as-sure or as-available as "the gun" and they begin fantasizing about using it - like a junkie chasing a more-powerful high.

That's all there is to see here.

Asking a gun-nut what we should do about gun-regulations is like asking a crackhead what we should do about cocaine.

"Cars don't kill people."
"Nukes don't kill people"
"Lets not have traffic laws and lets give everyone nukes."

The logic of a gun-nut is "the logic of a junkie." Their input is irrelevant while getting innocent people dead.

I am absolutely sure that this mass-killing was nothing more than "the ultimate adrenaline-rush for a power-junkie."

And that's all there is to it.

Wrong. I have lived in rural Idaho for decades, and the young men here are trained early in proper handling of their weapons. And young women.

What do you propose we do about the continuation of domestic terrorism?

Let me start with this: I know 2 women who avoided being kidnapped and presumably raped by merely showing their weapon. Then let me see if you get this...

A penis, with its procreating-power, in the hands of an adolescent male, does the same thing to a human mind that cocaine does.

Your right to self defense, like your right to procreate, is something that you have to learn to handle responsibly.

OK - So - from now on..... you propose that anyone buying a gun is mandated to take a class to handle it properly.

That sounds like a GREAT gun-bill.

Thanks.

So - should the people who buy guns without taking this "class to learn to handle it properly" go to prison?

Or should the seller go to prison for selling it to someone who didn't take this class?

I'll forward your idea to my local US Congressman, but I think it's already been proposed.

Your Congressman is an amoral powermonger who I have not consented to govern me. My right to self defense was granted by my creator.

Is that a quote from Stephen Paddock?

How is mandating that you take a class to learn how to handle a gun before you buy one... taking away your right to have a gun?

You have lots of American rights.... but if you're caught yelling fire in a crowded place, threatening someone's life or extorting someone with your speech... you go to prison.

Yes, it is true, not everywhere are people fantasizing about what they should do when holding a powerful stick in hands... In some localities, they really teach them selves to control their brain. But gun is a possibility and therefore an easy Idea, so I agree that guns are driving human's mad, but there are some human's mad without a guns.

Putting a gun in the hands of an adolescent male is the same exact result as giving him cocaine. It triggers the same exact brain chemistry and these males often continue to chase a higher and higher adrenaline rushes.

The reality is that more innocent people die in those countries where possession of weapons is not allowed.

That's totally false.
If guns made anyone safer America would be the safest country on Earth.

I can use the same Argument in reverse: if weapons made a country less insecure or encouraged such acts, it would happen in Switzerland, but it does not happen. Look, I live in Venezuela. for more than a decade we have eliminated the right to possess arms, and today we are one of the countries with the highest delinquency in the Western world, Caracas became the most dangerous city, and our death rate for violent crimes increased exponentially . Sometimes people do not know what they have until they no longer have it. Defend your right to possession of weapons.

I DO defend people's right to protect themselves. What I oppose is: flooding this country with killing machines and giving them to every killer and psycho who wants one.

Also oppose the manipulating marketing tactics they use.
I oppose the NRA being in-bed with our political system and buying votes (as I do with all big business).
I oppose "doing nothing" and allowing innocent people to DIE.

If a person is mentally stable and can prove it. If a person is of-age. If a person has no serious criminal record, and if a person is willing to take take steps to handle their gun responsibly - I have no qualms with them owning a gun.

I agree with you on what he said. More supervision and control is needed rather than completely eliminating the right. However, we must act intelligently, because when black markets are created, the mafias that are formed there are unstoppable and very harmful.

I am positive that the people filling your mind with the idea that ANYONE is attempting to eliminate your rights are people PROFITING FROM DEATH.

NO ONE is attempting to take the rights of law-abiding citizens. NO ONE.

Hate Speech

Yes - everything you can't handle is hate speech. LOL
