WLGA Channel 66 Opelika Alabama Stream Live

WLGA-TV Channel 66 is known to be a Cozi TV affiliate network that was established on 16 May 1982; CNZ Communications owns it, and it operates in Opelika Alabama. The channel is located in Columbus, Georgia at 13th Avenue; however, its transmitter place is Cusseta, Georgia.

WLGA signed on-air as WSWS-TV as the first independent network of Columbus on 16 May 1982. At that start, it telecasted religious shows, low-budget films, cartoons, business transmission, and other public interest broadcasting. The station’s first owner was Warden Broadcasting; later they sold it in 1984 to Christian Television Network. Initially, they also presented the stuff taken from Financial News Network which they dropped in 1987. Under CTN (Christian Television Network), it carried religious programming, however, after the change of ownership it still used to produce most of its religious content.

In 1995, WSWS was sold to RCH and associated its newly bought assets with United Paramount Network (UPN). The station also broadcasted The WB programming (currently Ion Television) as a secondary affiliate service. When WSWS was affiliated with UPN and The CW, it used to telecast cartoons, sitcom shows, talk shows, and courtroom programs. Some of its famous shows were Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown, Save by the Bell, The Cosby Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, My Three Sons, and few others. In its syndicated programming there was one Evening Shade that they aired between 1995 to 2010; Currently, CBS shows are typically broadcast on Antenna.

On 27 June 2005, they gave new call-signs to the channel which were WLGA; the abandoned calls were then given to its sibling network WSWS-CA (North Platte, Nebraska). But, it didn’t take it for long and changed the calls in June 2009 into KHGI-CA.
