A coal mine explosion happened in the mountainous Guizhou province of southwest China. Four workers were killed, at least nine people were missing.
The accident occurred on Monday night in the Gymushia coal mine in Ganzhou city. The news has been released by the state media, Xinhua reported.
In this regard, administrative officials say, the cause of the blast is still unclear. The rescue operation continued.
It is known that a private company operates about 300,000 tonnes of coal per year. But they did not agree to comment on this.
Prior to this, the security situation was inspected in the mine in April. Then the coal mine authorities were asked for a number of amendments regarding their safety.
