Carbon Dioxide Can’t Cause Global Warming
..........................................................................................................................................................................

Scarcely a day goes by without us being warned of coastal inundation by rising seas due to global warming.

Why on earth do we attribute any heating of the oceans to carbon dioxide, when there is a far more obvious culprit, and when such a straightforward examination of the thermodynamics render it impossible.

Carbon dioxide, we are told, traps heat that has been irradiated by the oceans, and this warms the oceans and melts the polar ice caps. While this seems a plausible proposition at first glance, when one actually examines it closely a major flaw emerges.

In a nutshell, water takes a lot of energy to heat up, and air doesn’t contain much. In fact, on a volume/volume basis, the ratio of heat capacities is about 3300 to 1. This means that to heat 1 litre of water by 1˚C it would take 3300 litres of air that was 2˚C hotter, or 1 litre of air that was about 3300˚C hotter!

Tisk Tisk. I wish the original person didn't post a strawman of how climate change occurs when we are discussing global warming. It has to do with the surface more so than the oceans; as the oceans can sustain life far after the surface can't.

Global Warming is the average increase in global temperatures each year. This affects weather patterns over many years, creating harsher climates for each geographical area in the onset, and then eventually leading to higher levels of radiation to create more tropical climates.

CO2 in this respect is what heats up the atmosphere for the surface climates to change. As CO2 levels rise, permafrost starts to thaw creating more CO2, thus snowballing into trapping more radiation from the sun. It's not a matter of the oceans heating up, it's a matter of the surface temperatures in the poles rising just enough to start thawing large amounts. However, where the large amount of argumentation happens is the time spans for this to take place....'cuz as we've seen Al Gore's falsified data predictions, it will take a lot longer than previously thought.
