The 52-year-old-single malt whisky was matured in an Oloroso sherry cask
Beam Suntory will release a Bowmore 1965 in December, the fourth and last edition of a 50 Year Old-Vaults Series. After 52 years of maturation in one of the old Bowmore warehouses on Islay the single malt from an Oloroso sherry cask offers 42% ABV. 232 bottles of the Bowmore 1965 were filled – but of course not usual bottles but handcrafted glass decanters in wooden presentation boxes. The press release informs of a suggested retail price of 30.000 US-Dollars.
