The Bladnoch distillery, considered one of Scotland’s most southerly, has a long and storied history, sometimes also troubled, that dates back to its founding in 1817. It was rescued from a quasi-mothball state back in 2015 by David Prior, an Australian millionaire and entrepreneur. After substantial work and capital investment in the years subsequent, a new visitor’s center is now set to open.
