Newton was absolutely right!!! see WHY ?

Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation states that : Every
Portion of matter attracts or tends to approach every other portion
of matter in the universe with a force proportional
to the masses
and inversely as the square of the distance. In order to understand
this law we need some ideas concerning force and mass.
Force is that which changes or tends to change a body's motion
or disturbs its state of rest A force may exist though it does
not become apparent unui objects move. The gravitational
force exists before an apple
falls from a tree, and only becomes
apparent when something causes the tree to lose its hold on
the apple. It is the force of gravity which prevents objects,
including ourselves, from flying into space as the earth rapidly
rotates on its axis.
