Officer, why is it taking so long to get our ships built?

• Captain, building a ship is nothing like building a Coal Mine or an Ore Depot. These ships require intricate blueprints and advanced technology to build. We're recruiting the necessary skills to bring these blueprints and materials together. And our programmers are working tirelessly to write all of the code needed for the computer systems. You have to be patient Captain!

You're right Officer, I apologize for my impatience. I thought that things would move along more quickly when we sorted out the problem with the mining. I didn't take into account these other things that you have brought to my awareness.

• No problem Captain. In any case, rest assured that I will keep you informed. If that's all, I'll take leave?

Sweetheart, I told you before, the other colonies are building up their fleets, and we have to insure our survival and the protection of our people.

So you feel pretty sure that war is imminent?

Of course I'm sure! We left Earth as a warring species. Sure, we'll probably form some alliances, but an enemy will eventually be amongst us. Just look at us Love! Look at how things were planned for us. We left Earth with a single ship that was capable of being transformed into a colony Base, and with instructions and equipment to start mining. We're not here planting organic gardens Sweetheart! We have replicators that provide us food and all kinds of technology for the air we breathe and the clothes we wear, but we are all designed for one mission - fleet building!
