Since I was born in Philadelphia, despite the Bills still being my number one team, the Eagles still have a place in my heart.
Obviously, I was rooting for the Colts to lose last week because they were the team that managed to kick the crap out of the Bills during the regular season and I don't think our defense is built well for them.
Still, nobody seems to be talking about how big of a deal the Colts losing last week is for the Eagles.
The Eagles traded Carson Wentz to the Colts for a conditional second round pick. That second round pick would become a first round pick of Wentz played 70% of the Colts' offensive snaps or the Colts made the playoffs
Wentz played the 70% of snaps which made it so the Eagles have the Colts' first round pick. By missing the playoffs, the Colts made that gift even greater by shifting the pick from a late first rounder to a mid first rounder.
