I couldn't resist but to put a bet in on the very first game of the season tonight. I know that Travis Kelce is likely not going to play tonight since he injured his knee and even if he doesn't he won't be his usual self but I had to roll with Patrick Mahomes still at home in Arrowhead.
I really don't like the team that he has around his this year, I don't think there's a ton of talent there and people like Kadarius Toney are just so unreliable but Pat Mahomes just makes everyone else around him better, very similar to how Tom Brady did the same.
So week 1, home opener, I'm taking Pat Mahomes to go over 304.5 yards in combined passing and rushing yards against the Lions.
It's of course not an easy bet but there were certainly worse bets I could have taken too, hoping to start the season off right and hit this one but at least I'll have fun watching the game tonight too! :)
