Nicaragua Apostille Service

in nicaragua •  3 years ago

The 1961 Hague Convention established this authentication system to reduce the steps required to authenticate or legalize documents and to eliminate the need to process documents in foreign consulates and federal agencies. About half of the world's countries follow the rules of the Apostille and the Hague Convention and the other half do not. We need to confirm in which country your documents will be used, as this will affect how we process them. If your documents are used in Nicaragua, you can apply for the Nicaragua Apostille, since Nicaragua participates in the Hague Convention.

The Apostille of Nicaragua or any other country participating in the Hague Convention basically authenticates the signature of the district official, notary, or another public official on the document to which the apostille is attached and is used by the Nicaragua authorities to ensure that the documents are not fraudulent produced.

The apostille does not confirm the actual content of the document, which is clearly set out in the guidelines of the Hague Conference on International Law circulated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, but rather the signatures of the parties involved.
