NiceHash Miner New Version Available - 2.0.1.2 Beta

in nicehash •  7 years ago  (edited)

There is a new NiceHash Minerreferral link desktop client available. The version change is on the fourth version number. From 2.0.1.1 Beta to 2.0.1.2 Beta.

In the v2 branch of the miner they've apparently added silent download. When I clicked on the message that the new client is available the setup immediately showed up.

One additional step was to download the C++ 2015 Redistributable. I am not sure if I like this dependency.

After the setup completes you can run the client immediately.

It starts the Excavator server.

And then it performs the optimization.

So far so good. The miner is running and adding mined Satoshis quietly to my account on the NiceHash website.referral link

The changes to the client in this version.

1 and 2 For informational purpose only to see the hypothetical value in EUR of mined BTC.

Source of BTC value.

Keep in mind that I am keeping all the mined BTC so the bitcoins which were mined earlier are worth much, much more today that they were worth at the time of their mining.

Great, isn't it?

Why would you run the 2.x software over the legacy? You are missing out on the more efficient 3rd party miners.

I know. I did run 1.7 version before switching to 2.0.1. I guess that the difference is insignificant since I run this on my Windows desktop and not some dedicated rig with multiple GPUs.
