A legend of modern motorcycling said goodbye today, the American Nicky Hayden died Monday in Cesena, Italy as a result of wounds caused in a winding that suffered with his bicycle in the province of Rimini in days gone by.
The accident happened while Hayden went for a ride with his bike, when a car struck him brutally striking and making him stars in the windshield, the driver was unharmed but not Hayden who entered the hospital in critical condition.
Hayden, who was currently in the World Superbike Championship while recovering, received many messages of support from his former MotoGP teammates Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Casey Stoner, Hector Barbera and the former former world champion American Kevin Shwantz who was with the pilot the morning of his sad and fatal accident.
When his death was known Moto GP and World Championship Superbikes gave their support to the family and confirming the painful news, although not perished on track is the first driver who has experience in Moto Gp in dying from the Italian Marco Simoncelli who died At the Malaysian Grand Prix in 2011, rest in peace Nicky.
