I didn't move out to the Midwest after all. I found work in my home state as a carpenter's apprentice and am doing what makes me happy while living with my two best and longtime friends. Our place is a humble one, built in the mid-fifties is a three bed, one bath farm house not far from my folk's place. Although we live on the other side of the tracks, we have an acre and a half of wild woods with a pond. One can really get the feeling of being in another era here, a laundry line, tin roof and no dishwasher are some examples. I have planted seeds for our summer crops and am anticipating a bountiful harvest with corn, cucumbers, watermelon, wild peppers and a handful of other crops and flowers. Life is good and I'm networking like mad so I may have work on the weekends too, with any luck I can continue to learn the craft of woodworking while saving money and maintaining my many hobbies.
