Nier Automata Fan art

This will be my first blog to post here on Steemit. I was really busy and couldn't find the time to draw and post my drawings. I'm just gonna share here with you guys my step by step fan art drawing of the game Nier Automata. This will be my thumbnail art for Cry. (I'm not really good at explaining stuff so just look at the pictures instead hahaha! -w-" )

First is a blank page, size is 1920 x 1080 pixels, 300 resolution. I'm using Pain tool Sai 1.1.0, using mouse ( cause I don't have my own pen tablet yet)

Now, start sketching em, I'm gonna draw the three of them (2B, 9S, A2). I used Pen with a brush size of 1. Not afraid of making free hand drawn lines that seems to wave on its own and not straighten out cause this will just be a guide for the later part of line art.

And now, the sketch is finish (Yey!! ^_^ Let's celebrate!! )

After the sketch is done, gonna start with the torture part on my hand which is the line art. Also, I forgot to mention, ( but this depends on your own where you are comfortable with)
I separate my sketch and line art of each character on a folder so that it won't be hard later if I got a mistake on one character. I mostly do this by separating the sketch, line art, base color, shadow, highlights and some finishing touches because its easier and more convenient to find what you are looking for or what you're gonna edit. But sometimes I forgot to do this and I regret on it >___>

The line art is the linework in Paint tool Sai. I used this more often if I want the lines to be smooth and easy to edit. See the picture below on where to find the linework.

I used the Curve tool with 0.7 brush size.

Just click and drag using the curve tool. It's okay to make a mistake cause you can use the edit tool where you can edit up a line without messing up the whole drawing.

You can see the green part and the line dots when you press "Alt" in your keyboard.
