In one of former posts, I talked about how I made a two identical fertility pot with my group. And one of the major challenges of firing a ceramics work is the fact that you don't know what going to happen to the work in the kiln when firing.
This post shows pictures of the fired identical pots which came back whole. Out of five different group assignment, mine was the group that came out with the pot whole. Other groups had cracks and the likes.
After firing, the next step was to paint the work . Firstly we made an underlay for the pots by using acrylic colour as a sort of binder.
The body is then sprayed with colour green. Effects are made using leaf patterns. The beads are painted with colour red. Then allow to dry..
In one of next post, i may post pictures of some of the other group's work.
