If you ever dream of becoming successful in Nigeria, these are 3 things you need to do;
First, focus on what you can change, not what you don’t have power over.
My life changed about 13 years ago when I decided to stop focusing my attention on what government does or don’t.
You can get angry, make noise or complain but you can hardly influence what the man in the Aso Villa does.
Why don’t you concentrate on what you can change, which is your life?
That leads me to the second point;
Don’t believe Nigeria is as bad as media makes it look and don’t believe the so call “good” countries are as good as TV makes you believe.
Yes, there’s no road, no power etc. but you know something?
No place in the world is absolutely green.
After spending almost two decades in the business world, I can tell you that most times, what we call obstacles are opportunities, but we need to change the way we see things.
That leads me to my last point;
Don’t believe people who say our country is “totally bad”.
Yes, I’ve faced so many obstacles as a Nigerian entrepreneur which I wouldn’t have faced if I were in a “better” country. But guess what?
I’ve made use of some opportunities too, which are not available in the “better” countries.
These tips will be very helpful to any foreigner planning a visit to nigeria. Good one @elixbaba
