Steemit has been a source of personal growth to me. It is a place where I can come to share my thoughts and opinions with other people and get feedback. It has helped me with starting a business to do while within university and as I have 2 more years before I graduate, I hope I would have achieved greater heights here. To me, steemit is not a race. It is a social media platform just like others but here you get to be rewarded for sharing your opinions.
It's not just about the money though, it's also about the connections you form. Steemit gives a wise variety of audience and you get to better yourself and your writing skills. You make friends from all over the world with the chat options.
The Steemit in Nigeria(S.I.N) conference is an avenue to share this with the rest of the country. S.I.N conference will help spread the awareness of steemit to other Nigerians. It will show the benefits of steemit and how steemit can be used to combat the high rate of unemployment in the country. I hope to stand as one of the witnesses and help people understand what steemit is all about and that it is real and not a scam or ponzi scheme.

I believe Nigerians (who are actually fairly good at English) can make a lot of profit on steem if they focus on improving their writing skills and put genuine effort into what they contribute.
Some Nigerians might wonder "what do I write about?"
EASY ANSWER: Nigeria
Most people in North America have never been to Nigeria. They have not seen what it is like, tasted the food, understood the political problems, or social problems.
Any Nigerian person that can write honestly from the heart and talk about their homeland (good or bad) would be very interesting to everyone else.
No need to remind people of that... they already know. When you do that, it cheapens the post a bit.
If every post I wrote, I said:
No one would like me either. Be careful with it. Only on youtube do people always have to say that "comment, subscribe, share". But this is not youtube. It is a different place.
