He asked and I told him yes he can if you're smart enough. Just like studying in the university, using theories and findings of dead scientists to arrived at a result. You can as well after my telling all you need to know go get a car and turn On the ignition and start driving without going to any driving school.

Here is how it works.

Step 1. When you get a car key. Make sure the gear is on Neutral (the gear stick is labelled 1,2,3,4,5 and R for neutral) start the car by turning it On using the car key. Turn the key to the right hand (clockwise) and release it when the car is On.

Step 2. There are three foot matches (pedals) as shown above on a manual car and two matches on automatic car. (focussing on manual)
Your left leg will completely match down the clutch everytime you are changing the gears and your right leg does two things: Braking the car for emergency and stopping and as well accelerating to move it from one place to another. So your right leg does braking and acceleration. This is how you start driving on a manual car. Slowly match the accelerator pedal (the accelerator pedal is at the right side of the three. The break is in the middle and the clutch is at the left) and slowly release your left leg from the clutch. You're are driving.

Step 3. Match and hold the clutch pedal fully down and control your gear from its neutral position to gear1. Slowly and simultaneously release the clutch and match on the accelerator to get the car start moving. You're driving!

Step 4. Change gears base on the level of your acceleration. (Gear 1 is to move the car and when you're going slow to a bump or on a traffic jam so that the car doesn't turn off, Gear 2 is as well when you're going slow and not speeding, Gear 3,4 to run and 5 when going on a long journey that requires speed).

If you have not driven a car before and you just read this my post. Don't be scared. Tell anyone you can drive. Don't forget all you read here if you're given a key.

NB. Reader discretion is advised. I am not to be blame or hold responsible if any accident occur as a result of trying to practise all you just read. Thank you.
