The story of mary

All that was happening to Mary at a time like this were all Greek to her, how could she have known that the effect of just one night would have turned out to be this way. It was her world of sorrow she had already cried her eyes out of its wall socket she never envisaged in the slightest way that things would end up becoming that bad for her, her heart kept beating a mile a second she battled as hard as she could to win this fight but wasn't so sure how things were going to be for her.
There was dead silence at the assembly ground,that one could hear a needle drop. It was on a Monday morning which was the general inspection at Saint Monica's college yaba lagos,no one had known what the gravity of the offence committed was just yet,but the look on Mr Kella's face the vice principal suggested to the students that the offence was indeed a grievous.
Heading briskly towards the podium that stood just directly in front of the students to address them. In space of seconds he began to lay to the table just why exactly he was there,with him as well were two uniformed police men at his both sides which increased the curiosity of all present at the assembly ground.
Without mincing words he went straight to the point "good morning students "came his raspy voice.
"Good morning sir" the students babbled in what seemed like an answer.

The tears Mary was trying to hide minutes before couldn't help flooding down her cheeks...no doubt she was going to innocently pay for a crime she never committed. While she came out her Mind flooded on the event of the past few days. When she had taken her mathematics assignment to Mike the head boy , during the night prep to help her out with...on known to her,Mike had always had a soft spot for her and had always desired her so much.So when Mary had brought the assignment to him he saw that as an opportunity of a life time to forcefully have his way with her by knowing her in the biblical sense. Mary was not just going to fold her hands and watch this senior jeopardize her dreams and struggled to free her self from he tight grip,when he suddenly slipped and hit his head brutally. Giving him a severe brain damage, before he was rushed to the hospital he gave up the ghost.
[22/01, 2:57 am] Amara Mtn: Mary kept on thinking when the voice of the vice principal suddenly jerked her from her thoughts. "Mary Thompson a student of ss1 just yesterday night single handedly murdered the senior prefect of this reputable school in cool blood for a reason we still ask why, Jason, Mikes friend was a witness to the murder. The police are here to arrest her as against the crime. ..this should serve as a note of warning to you all to desist from anything evil else you pay the consequences in a very dear way.
And just while the principal was rounding up his speech Mary was handcuffed and bundled into a waiting police van.
No doubt she was going to pay with her life for a crime she never committed.
