Does the hustle ever end in Nigeria?

You know that she baby that asked the nurse where she was? Well she was asking because she lives in Nigeria!
From time immemorial, it has been known that Nigeria is that one place in the world where chaos and corruption seemingly look normal and even cultural. From the little boys on the street to the top government officials, no one is an exception to this rule. No wonder trump called us a #shithole!

So from the time you start primary school to the point you graduate the university, you pass through a series of suffering, from serving very silly punishments to standing in long unending queues, to having to give someone a bribe for something you deserve or looking the other way for evil to prevail least you become that hated saint!
My question now is this; does this hustle ever end? Apparently no! Reminiscing on my experience earlier this week at the INEC registration center where voter’s cards are being issued, I can come up with only one word to describe the situation in which I had to go through. From the working environment of the staff to the treatment given to the well-meaning citizens to the unending shades of corruption, everything could be summed up to be #PATHETIC!

A crowd of over 100 people who come out as early as 6am, a small office with just two registration point and a blazing sun with no shade or chairs is a little description to ignite your imagination. And sadly even worse conditions await people who intend to vote during elections. If only our leaders knew how much trouble we go through to put them in office, they probably would be less of the scumbags they already are!
