Hello steemians both the old and the young who keep the flag flying by making the vision to soar high each day by day. This is my first post i will be doing using the steemitstage.com,it is really nice and well organize,many thanks to the developer @surpassinggoogle who got hold of the vision and bring it to pass.
It is will a mix feeling that am about to pour out what is burning inside of me with great indignation and i feel of great concern for my beloved country Nigeria the giant of African. I start by reciting my country national anthem with a standing ovation.
Arise, o compatriots, Nigeria call obey.
To serve our fatherland with love and strength and faith.
The labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.
To serve with heart and might. One nation bound in
freedom,peace and unity.
Any time i listen to the words of this song,compose by hero of Nigeria,who has fought and won the victory for this great nation in 1960 and now am happy to to tell you that on 1st of october the country have clock 57years of freedom from the colonia master. We have been free from slavery,torture,molestation,child abuse etc,but the question is that are we of a truth been free or we are still indirectly still in prison of our colonia master?
All thanks to the founding father,the anthem say "the labour of our hero past,shall never be in vain" . Gone at the days after independent during the 1970s,when Nigeria was a citadel and a place to invest and live on,when standard of living was good,an average Nigeria back then will be the richest or one of the richest person in other country when compare. I wasn't born then but stories though literature has made me know some good old stories,but of a truth i have hard the story of how our other Africa country make Nigeria a home of refuge and the rest. Just to mention but a few who have rule and work for this country and their work still speak. Many major roads,airport,university have been name after them and our current have the image of this great hero who are watching how we are ruling the nation today. Most of our leaders all went to free schools provided by missionaries and those in power as at then,but now public schools are always embacking on strike due to non payment of salary and the rest and private schools is at the peak with huge amount of money for school fees. A country bless with many minerals resource like:
*Gold
*Crude Oil
*Limestone
*Iron etc
Yet we still suffer with all this blessing at hand. Nigeria is bless with a land good for Agriculture for farming,fishing,livestock etc. I think it is time i drop my pen on the matter of my country and move straight to the case of study "Kogi state.
With statistical record it has been discover that Kogi state is having more than half of the resources that can be found in the country. The youruba have this to say:
" Bi abi bakuro ninu ise, ise a buse"
Meaning when food is taken out of the life of a poor person that life will be easy for him/her.
It sadden me when i saw it on news headline of some senators donating about 1256 bags of rice to kogi state to help the masses. All thanks to them,but the problem is the issue am still finding found. I think it is best time we stand as a country to fight back.
