SO, I belong to a WhatsApp group of old course mates, and yesterday (16/8/2017) one of the members shared a very hate message promoting religion divides. At first, I thought of replying back in ‘his own’ coin, but I realized that doing that will only encourage what he, or the author of the post want to achieve. After a while, I knew I had to send a message and I sent the below.
THINK!
Ignorance is the greatest hindrance to growth; and what is surprising is that even the learned as the ones who display this ignorance the most. Think!
What makes you think that the Ibos are the problem of Nigeria or that Biafra or Arewa Republic is the solution to Nigeria’s unending problem? What makes you consider that Christians and Muslims should not coexist together for the sake of ‘growth’. Why have we belittled ourselves to make this about race and religion? Fellow Nigerians, who has bewitched you?
We have closed our eyes from the truth and reality to concentrate on the things that are not needed and we think that division is better to unity. We have been divided with privileges and castes. We have failed to manage our nation and we constantly look for excuses to allow our irresponsible and irresponsive government to continue to deprive us especially the youth of a better future. Where have our knowledge gone?
How have we failed to learn and understand that a true and responsible government only needs discipline, accountability, transparency, integrity, effective and efficient management of resources, adequate concerned for the disadvantaged of the society who they vowed to protect and take care of; diligence of work for the development eluding Nigeria and not for personal enrichment or self favoured policies? It is only a foolish man that continues to believe in his folly, even after he has known the truth.
Think! Just Think!
We must not encourage been used to promote negatively in a country like ours where most people are super sensitive BUT ignorant of the truth.
No agitation is worth the unity of NIGERIA

I agree with you 100%. Unity is key in any progressive society; this is why 'some' group of people are pushing us away from uniting. the truth is that if Nigerians can come together irrespective of race, political backdrop or religiou, our leaders will be unable to continue their wicked schemes on the masses anymore
