What night-shift nurses already know

in nightshift •  5 years ago  (edited)

Not that I think TIME magazine is worth much but this article is actually spot on!!!
Having been a ER nurse for way too many years (a lot of that time getting stuck working the 'graveyard' (i.e. night) shift I can attest to the strain and ill effects of being night-shift workers (as if ER nursing wasn't miserable enough!). This is one of the reasons that I decided to retire from nursing a bit early, the paycheck wasn't worth the toll work took on my body and my spirit. My greatest respect to all the other night workers still toiling away out there.

You mention in your article that this article comes from Time mag and then at the end you provided the source link, so, if you are wondering why you are being treated as a plagiarist....it is because you are not using your own words....not more than a sentence or so.

If you want to do well but also pass on to us interesting articles like this one, I suggest you write a bit, say 'Quote' and quote a para or two and then write a bit again and repeat until the end, thus you have become involved and shown us your own thoughts also - which is what these platforms are about.

I removed the article but left the link.
