In 1987 Nike presented the Air Max 1 and thereby the first „visible air“ unit. But they didn’t stop. Numerous innovations, new technologies and trends were since created by the brand with the swoosh. 30 years later the Air Max 1 silhouette is still on top and one of the huge icons in the sneaker scene. Over the last couple of years we’ve seen some new versions and updates of the Air Max 1, Hyperfuse, Tape and Ultra Moire to name a few. But this release is different. Nike will release an Air Max 1 with a complete Flyknit uppe, what is a great deal! One of the greatest sneakers ever is combined with one of the most groundbreaking footwear technologies of the last years and the result is great!
Flyknit makes the shoe ultra light, breathable and comfortable while the shape is the best we’ve seen in years. Actually it’s the lightest Air Max 1 ever! Ben Yun and his team worked hard until the result was perfect. There’s also a nice sideeffect: The manufacturing of the Flyknit upper produces much less trash!
The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit will be available (in several colorways) for men and women and is available at nike.com and shops such as Asphaltgold, 43einhalb and others from July 28.
