Nikon D60 Review An old camera, but man what quality!

This was my latest vlog vid that was uploaded mere minutes before moving over to Steemit and Dtube. I've owned this used camera for about three months now and these are some of the very first photos taken with it and my thoughts on the machine. You can get your hands on one of these cameras for around $100. It's money well spent. These are all over in the used market now.

The general overview:

Resolution: 10.20 Megapixels
Sensor size: APS-C (23.6mm x 15.8mm)
Kit Lens: 3.06x zoom 18-55mm (27-83mm eq.)
Viewfinder: Optical / LCD (playback only)
ISO: 100 - 1600 with a boosted setting of HI-1 (3200) set manually

The contrast and sharpness, as well as the color and saturation is incredible. There is a little noise at the highest ISO settings, but I don't consider it a deal breaker. If you've never used a DSLR type camera, you are in for a treat! The jump in quality is simply mind-blowing. It is a totally different level of picture taking and photography. With a wide array of lenses available, you'll find yourself exploring almost every branch of photography you can. I still keep my SONY Cybershot for when I want to go light, but when it counts, I use this powerhouse. Find one of these gems in the used market and have a blast!

Time exposed Lightning shot. Luck was with me that night. You can slow the shutter down to 30 seconds or even bulb.

An example of color, saturation, and detail. This was taken with the included kit lens

The abandoned Baker Hotel, filmed at dusk with the 18 - 55mm Kit lens. The machine can be flexible in low light. This isn't the lowest light it can handle. As I got more and more experience with the camera, and finally got my hands on a user manual, my photos improved.

The Macro capabilities of the kit lens are pretty amazing. this one was taken with my kit lens from a Nikon d70. It does not have VR, but it does have good sharpness with this camera.
