Hey hey!

Still crazy, crazy DOMStastic from my weekend of Snowboarding and Shovelling... but I had too much energy to rest it out, so onto the grind...

Today was all about upper body funness.

I'm starting to step up my upper body exercises now that I'm feeling a bit more conditioned...

Overall I did 3 sets of:

  • 6 slow push ups on a balance board
  • Adapted pull ups... I had my feet on the ground, my body at 45 degree angle and would pull myself to standing/90 degrees
  • Assisted pull ups with a band
  • 20 second deadhangs
  • 20 step farmers carry, one hand at a time
  • 6 super slow push ups
  • wrist roller

I thought this was going to be super easy... but it was incredibly difficult... we're on the home stretch of this 30 day program. It's brutal now, but it's been a great program.

Still working on the raw vegan diet.... it's pretty rough so far... but hopefully I can get used to it.

The elbow really has been feeling slightly better lately. I did some more shovelling today, and it didn't bother me as much as it did on the weekend... Fingers crossed (as long as that doesn't do damage).

If you ever go to Washington DC, visit the Spy Museum and ask them to try the hanging grip simulation thingy... it tests how long people can hold on to ledges like in the movies. It was fun. You’ll probably own that thing! 💪

I haven't visited DC yet.... but this sounds right up my alley!
My grip strength isn't nearly where I want it to be, but I'd love to try it though... I'd train just for it!

I hope you get a chance to visit and train for it. DC is a fun place. Definitely look me up if you go there. I can help make it easy.

Be sure to look up their website for an image of the thing. They don’t make it easy. It’s like a big fat chrome bar. It’s girth is about 4-5 inches thick. The bar is plenty wide but it’s attached to a machine that elevates about 12 inches. It’s attached to a timer also.

Maybe you can just go to the gift shop sneak out the exit of the gift shop and skip the tour. I found it at the end of the tour near the gift shop.
