Nintendo Hype!

The Spotlight event was choc-full of new trailers for games set to release in 2017, from a teaser for the long-overdue return of the Metroid Prime series, to a trailer showing off the unique gameplay mechanic central to Super Mario Odyssey. Here is a list of everything that was announced for Nintendo this e3.

Given the fan demand for a follow-up to the main Metroid series it looks like Nintendo are finally delivering, teasing just a logo for Metroid Prime 4.

Metroid: Samus Returns

This 3DS game wasn't even in the main Spotlight presentation because it's not a Switch game, but it's just as important. A new Metroid game with an actual trailer!

Pokemon (main series RPG)

Since this isn't a 2017 game, there was only a mention that there is a main-series Pokemon RPG in development for Switch. This is exciting news as it will be the first time a main-series Pokemon game has graced home-consoles.

Following the success of Hyrule Warriors, the Fire Emblem series is set to get the Warriors treatment. Fire Emblem hack 'n' slash!
