How to Pair Joy-Con to Nintendo Switch

  The Nintendo Switch has been released, introducing the seventh major home video game console developed by Nintendo. 

The game console can be used with your TV or your mobile devices. The bundle includes the console and dock with left and right Joy-Con controllers. The Joy-Con controllers are wireless and include standard buttons and a directional joystick as well as motion sensing and tactile feedback.  to protect switch use nintendo switch carrying cases and nintendo switch screen protectors

You can attach the controllers to both sides of the console, use them individually in your hands like the Wii Remote, or connect them to a grip accessory for a more traditional home console gamepad style.  

When you set up your Nintendo Switch for the first time, you will need to pair your Joy-Con controllers with your console. You can also pair more than one set of Joy-Cons. There are two ways to do it. 

Method one

Step 1: Go to the Nintendo Switch’s home screen and select Controllers. 

Step 2: Select Pair New Controllers. 

Step 3: Slide your right Joy-Con into the console similar as you would in playing tablet mode. 

Step 4: Slide the left Joy-Con into the console the same way. 

Step 5: Select done. That’s it. Enjoy your play. 

Method two

If you have more than one set of Joy-Con controllers, you may want to use this method to pair them all at once. 

Step 1: Go to your Switch’s home screen and select Controllers. 

Step 2: Select Change Grip/Order. 

Step 3: Next you will need to press the sync button on each Joy-Con controller you want to pair. You can find the small black button between the SL and SR buttons on your controller. 

When they are paired, you will see a solid green light next to the sync button.  

Disconnect controllers

Once you are done playing, you will want to disconnect your controllers. Here is how you can disconnect them all at once. 

Step 1: Go to your Switch’s home screen and choose System Settings. 

Step 2: Select Controllers and Sensors. 

Step 3: Scroll down until you see Disconnect Controllers and select it. 

Step 4: Attach a pair of the controllers to the Switch console and hold the X button on the right Joy-Con until controllers are disconnected from the Switch. 

Step 5: Detach your Joy-Cons from the console. Reattach them to pair the Joy-Cons again. 

Step 6: Select OK. 

Joy-Cons work on other platforms too

That’s right. You can use your Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers on other platforms including Mac and Windows computers and mobile phones. They will connect via Bluetooth. Disconnect the controllers from the Switch and press the sync button on the top of one of the Joy-Cons for the controller to look for another device with which to connect. 

It isn’t necessarily suggested that you use your Joy-Cons on other devices. You, however, do have that option if you want to give it a try. 

Sony and Microsoft also enables their consoles’ controllers to connect to other devices.
