No kids, what do parents do?

So what would you do?

Well, if you had asked 22 year old me I would have told you that we would have went out for dinner. Maybe after that we would have headed to a movie, something not produced by Disney. Possibly followed up by some drinks and Nachos at a local pub. Now 39 year old me had the situation actually come up today. Our son is still off school this week and we both had to go back to work. So we sent Luke over to his cousins house for a few nights. So my wife and I were "sans enfants"! (without kids). Now I will be honest. The first night we mainly just laid back and caught up on all of our favourite adult sitcoms. Tonight on the other hand! We really livened it up and took our show to the road. We headed right on over to Rona (the Canadian version of Lowes). We have been planning on renovating our living room and decided that this was a perfect opportunity to get out and check some flooring!

Ok so you young kids my not think that this was very exciting, but trust me when you are 39 you will understand. We spent over an hour looking around at all the different options. We thought that we knew what we wanted when we went in but ended up picking something slightly different.

So how do you follow up such excitement?

We continued on and took a look at some tile to redo our fireplace! Oh yeah! Beauty!

The Joys of being a grownup!

Lol true story!

Hahaha... That cheered me up. I think I can even spare an upvote

I’m with you on this!! The hubs and I send our son to grandmas and we head to the grocery store to shop in peace and quiet. Lol. I heard someone say that “you know you’re grown up when you start asking for things like vacuum cleaners for gifts”. I asked for new toilets this year for Christmas so I think I’ve made it to the grown up side. 😂😂😂

Too funny. Grocery shopping is also one of our favorites. Oh and Costco.
I got an electric skillet for Christmas lol
