Peep peep - Means the light has turned red. Stop you idiot!

in nolaws •  7 years ago  (edited)

I have never seen anyone stopped by a cop.

Here DTube shows people blowing a red light until a paid whistle blower tells them to stop.

RiskingLife

Since moving to Argentina, I have seen many people who stop at red lights and keep the speed limits but only because they want to.

They don't want to wreck the car they just bought and waited two months for (even though it was in stock and they paid cash for it). That's the way it works no matter what kind you buy.

Imports are worse. A new Camaro will cost you a cool $2.4 million pesos here after 60% import tax and 21% IVA. Drive that here! I dare you. Look how they drive.

StopMotocycle

In the last year, I started to see these people dressed in light blue and yellow shirts, armed with a deadly whistle. They gather at corners all over the city from 3:30 till about 8:00 p.m. to tell people what color the light is. Without them, cars and buses will go through the red light and line up in the middle of the intersection. Cross traffic does the same thing and the city experiences what is called grid-lock.

My thoughts. They could actually stop people for running red lights (or yellow ones like in the USSA) and collect fines from them. Then use those fines to pay for city improvements instead of printing the currency into oblivion. That leads me to my next topic, inflation. But first, the video.

Toward the end of the video, a quick "toot too" signals the other girl that the light has turned yellow. Time to walk out in front of moving traffic that doesn't concern itself with red or green lights. Risky job.

Inflation

Here's what $350 dollars looks like.

$350

The 200, 500 and 1000 bills all came out in 2017. They are new! People here ask me bitcoin will go up. I tell them, "You could look at it that way, but I would rather tell you that you will be a millionaire next year." They will actually have a million of those paper things and even higher denominations. But surely a million. Mark my words.

So. Yes

Bitcoin will be worth at least a million pesos next year. And donuts, coffee, and a taxi ride downtown will each cost thousands.

We are about one year behind Venezuela. The bills are worth less and less each day, and it will go that far. It always does. It will all stop when they are worthless must like paper is in Venezuela.

Another thing those fines for running red lights could do. Teach people not to run red lights - think of all the wages (lives, cars, kids,) that would be saved. I watch all this and think of the probabilities. I'ts much bigger than just red lights.

Good new is if you have crypto the value of paper doesn't matter.

Only the weight of it when you need to carry it to pay rent.

Great publication my dear friend @ sponge-bob, I love the type of content you publish because it is always very informative and very easy to understand, I plan to go to Argentina soon and your posts help a lot, thank you very much and quite greetings, faithful reader!

Dollar is gonna go down and we'll be throwing it around cuz it will be worthless!

Informative..... thank u @sponge-bob for sharing. Waiting for next post.

Since moving to Argentina, I have seen many people who stop at red lights and keep the speed limits but only because they want to.

Very interesting, in my area, the red light is just a display, people never stop unless there is a traffic cop on guard, we know safety is very important!

They don't stop fr red lights? That's madness, I tell you! I guess make sure to wait a while after the light turns green before you go.
Yes, carrying a dumptruck load of money to get a pizza isn't going to be any fun.

No, no. You have it all wrong. They will create 10,000 notes then 50,000 notes and even 100,000 notes. That way we don't have to reinvent the pocket.

I got this one for free at a souvenir shop months ago - it was used here in Argentina - now it's worthless. But somehow people believe these new pieces of paper won't be worthless someday. Madness.

This post of yours i found very interesting and informative, kind of scary in a way! The pictured "helped " to vision the story more. Thank You ! :-)

A new Camaro will cost you a cool $2.4 million pesos here after 60% import tax and 21% IVA.

I’m guessing you drive a Corvette then...

Nope - A Ninebot C - Me riding behind my two children.

those motorised unicycles are brilliant! (unless you have a bad back like me). Very cool. As far as the traffic light situation is absolutely crazy. By allowing vehicles to do that in the first place, they set a president, and people will continue to do it. You are right they could save a fortune by implementing the rules and fining those that stray from the rules. I suppose it is one way to keep the employment numbers up!. In the UK in some places you get fined for going in the bus lane (cameras everywhere with number plate recognition).

In Indonesia crypto currency should not be used as a valid means of exchange, in the sense that it is not justified to make a purchase transaction of a good, unless we exchange from crypto currency to Rupiah

I agree with you!!! Excellent post!!

No one got patience hahaha thanks for sharing the video

they don't even care about them self

still this works peep peep

Wow, how far would it go?

yeah, i agree with you about this.

"deadly whistle" hahahah.

In Philippines we also don't follow much of the traffic lights.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

is the red light does not apply there, or it does not exist at all, because I see in the video, a woman who became a giver of a stop sign on a road user....?

may i knowk, before you move to Argentina, where you live, thank you...?

I lived in the country that causes more death and suffering than Hitler did. They kill elected presidents and install unelected ones.

after I search on some sites in internet, I do not find a definite explanation of your words, but I am just trying to guess it, do you live in one of these countries, Iraq or libia, sorry if i am mistaken

Iraq and Libya are two of the countries that were destroyed by my country. We have troops in The Ukraine right now. We have not been invited to Syria but we are there as an invading force. We fund the Islamic State which Russia destroyed.

WOW... you live in country super power USA... but right now I do not learn much about USA Country anymore, due to time limitations, I used to love studying USA country history.

hopefully my guess this time right on target ... hehe ..

Yes . I call it the USSA.

that's pretty cool to know

Excellent work!!! @sponge-bob. Greetings ; )
