A facelift without knives or needles? It exists!

Facelifts are a popular procedure to help people look younger. However, not everyone is willing to go under the knife to look better.

Distinction

There are two types of facelifts, surgical facelifts, and non-surgical facelifts. Surgical facelifts require incisions that use blades. This does not happen with non-surgical facelifts. The advantage is that the procedure is faster and easier. Usually, there is also less of a recovery period after the procedure.

Needles are often thought of as a non-surgical procedure. Think of botox or other fillings. When one speaks of a filling with fat, however, then you speak of a surgical procedure. Before the fat is injected, it is first cut from your body. The advantage of fat is that the transformation lasts longer or is even permanent.

Without needles

Nowadays there are also alternatives to needles, which are even less invasive, but still, result in tighter skin. For example, there is a laser treatment that improves the quality of the skin and tightens the pores. Another option is a chemical peel. This skin treatment fights wrinkles, scars, and other imperfections. There are also treatments that use ultrasound or radio frequencies to smooth the skin from below.

The result of a non-surgical facelift is very dependent on the location of the procedure and the type of procedure. In general, the effects of these procedures are of a shorter duration than surgical procedures, causing patients to return periodically.
