Noob’s adventure in to the crypto world

Let me preface this, I have zero experience in the cryptocurrency world. Well, up until a month I had zero experience in this world. The ultimate goal of this blog is to talk about what I have learned and the mistakes I have made along the way. By no way would I take anything I say as financial advice, but if you learn something, or heck if you teach me something maybe we will all gain from my rants. If I put links to anything, I will put links that are both affiliate and not affiliate because I am not trying to sneak anything by anyone. That is not my goal, mostly this is here is to document my journey. That is it.
My first post is on the ridiculousness of hardware mining. I am sure that those with massive mining rigs will call me an idiot, but the massive difficulty of mining for a beginner is ridiculous. Granted, I have two laptops, I do not have gaming hardware so mining just does not provide that return the investment on the electricity that I expend on this process. I have tried mining Zcash. Bust!!!. Took me a week to earn $.20. Tried Monero, earned a decent amount but pool withdraw limits made it such a long process to get any return, will call that a bust as well. The only coin that I have had any success mining is Bytecoin. Am I getting rich? No, but I can at least mine in an amount where I can amass coins that could payoff if the price were to increase a little. I could one days see a return of a couple dollars. Through me some good suggestions on hardware mining and how to maximize without breaking the bank.
My next post will be on faucets. I love faucets because I am lazy.
