South Korea's military said Tuesday that North Korea launched a "short-range unknown launcher" into the eastern waters of the Korean Peninsula early in the morning.
The Yongxing News Agency quoted information from the Joint Staff Headquarters of the Korean Army as saying that at 2:59 and 3:23 local time on the 2nd, North Korea launched two "short-range unknown launchers" from the area of Yongxing, South Hanjing Road to the eastern waters of the Korean Peninsula.
The Joint Staff Headquarters of the Korean Army said that the Korean military is closely monitoring whether the DPRK has other developments related to the launch activities, while maintaining a vigilant posture.

South Korea's military said on July 31 that North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles from the Yuanshan Gema area to the Northeast in the early morning of the same day.
Earlier, KCNA reported that Kim Jong-un directed the power demonstration shooting of new tactical guidance weapons on July 25. South Korean military said on the 25th that North Korea launched two "launchers" on the same day.
