Healthy Homemade Chips - Organic Potato - Sweet potato - RECIPE - Check !

in norway •  7 years ago

I just made these Yammie Chips.. Organic self picked potatoes straight from Mother Earth :) ! I used 3 organic Potatoes. Sliced thin with knife. Sweet potato/ White Sweet potato - I just peeled them with a normal potato peeler.
Used half a medium Orange sweet potato.
1 small white sweet potato.
1 tsp olive oil on the potatoes. Spices - Chili - Garlic - Salt - Pepper - & a little sprinkle of Parmesan on them the last 10 min.
I baked the "Normal" ones first. 10 min 200c - turn around 10 more minutes. So crunchy ! A source to Potassium as well :D (you don't need to flip the sweets)

Then i got so exited i just peeled sweet potatoes and threw them in the oven too at 175 degrees for 15 min :) Spiced them with same as above (Not Parmesan)

It may seem that they aren't done after 15-20 minutes. but they just need to cool down a bit :)

I'm going to try em today :)

great :D

Nice job on this. I hope you will check me out. What kinds of cooking oil do you use in Norway? Whats used most. Here in California i'd say Extra virgin olive oil.

i used xtra virgin olive oil. not much. 1/2 -1 tsp. I only use in dark glass bottles and organic. Or else i use Coconut oil Avokado and Ghee :)

Kool. Always kool learning whats used in other countries. Whats ghee this i have never heard of.

Ghee is clarified butter. They use it a lot in India and Asia :) Tolerates much more heat without food being fried 91Yn-A13ZVL._SL1500_.jpg

sweet, clarified butter nice. I love this. I will have to buy some and see what its like. Is it like drawn butter for lobster. N E ways thanks for teaching me something. Cheers

i dont know what drawn from lobster is. But it's cooked Butter where all the Casein is drawned out and its pure and people who are lactose intolerant can use it too. most of them :) and as i said you can really use high temperature without the food being unhealthy like with other oils and fat :)

drawn butter is used to dip your lobster in, Its clairfied butter actually. I just wondered if it had spices add stuff like that

ah so it is actually ghee ;) - you can add spices as above and pop the seeds to get a great taste :) or make it yourself with spices :) chili, turmeric, ginger and garlic is great

now thats what im talking about. Absolutely love sweet potatoes but processed chips are so bad. This is a perfect alternative. upvoted thanks for posting! followed and look forward to more

great :)

yes i loved homemade.. dont touch processed food :)

I think this is just brilliant. I've never seen that before, and I did not know there are any healthy chips

its a great way to a healthier snack :D
