It Seems like Liberstad is doing just fine 1 month after establishment.
A private city based on voluntaryism is a reality.
Looks like the activity has been so high that they already need a digger.

Just got this one sent to me (http://www.liberstad.com/donation-campaign-to-buy-excavator.html):

Donation campaign to buy an excavator:

Help us buy an excavator

Liberstad Drift AS is responsible for the establishment and development of Liberstad, and is a newly established, non-profit corporation with two employees who work full-time without pay. We already have a small but solid machine park consisting of a truck, two tractors, timber trailer with crane as well as smaller machinery and equipment for the initial construction and development of Liberstad.

But there is one very important machine that we can not do without and which we currently do not have the capital to buy, namely an excavator.

To develop the roads in Liberstad we are dependent on a relatively large excavator. This will also be used for the construction of parks and plots for the common areas. We have therefore started a donation campaign in an effort to try and raise the capital we need to buy a used but solid 20-ton excavator.

The price tag for a used 20-ton excavator ranges from 250 to 700 thousand kroner and we hope to get enough donations to buy a excavator for approximately 450 000,- kroner (54 000,- USD).

We have already received over 40 000 kroner in donations to Liberstad Development Fund that will go to the purchase of the excavator. We greatly appreciate all donations, regardless of currency and amount, and we accept the most common crypto-currencies in addition to Norwegian kroner, Euro and US Dollar.

If you want to help us build Norway's first private city and make a contribution so that we can buy an excavator, you can donate in the following ways:

Good Luck with reaching your goal

Does anyone have an experience in buying land at Liberstad ? It would be interesting to know to current price range.

The first round was sold out before I had even heard about Liberstad. The price was extremely cheap (I do not remember the exact price) compared to Oslo prices, but Marnadal is of course not Oslo:) I put my name on the waiting list. I do not know when they will start the second round of sale of the remaining 50 plots. But I am interested! Today, I am not directly involved in Liberstad per se: I back them due to shared philosophy/ political thinking:)

I looked at their website and they give a quote of 100000-300000 NOK (≈ 12000-37000 usd) per decare (1000 square meters.) - source

Cant wait to see how this place will end up. I really hope this will work as planed :D
