Nosebleeds are normal in children, but in adults, nosebleeds can have serious consequences. Although nosebleeds are normal, not many people know the two types of nosebleeds. Nosebleeds are divided into two types, namely anterior nosebleeds and posterior nosebleeds. Causes of nosebleeds in adults:
- Nasal membranes dry out due to dry air.
- Injury to the nose due to accidents, sneezing too hard, to pick your nose.
- Sinusitis.
- Allergy.
- Bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, leukemia, or thrombocytopenia.
- Side effects of drugs such as aspirin, blood thinners.
- Flu.
- Traumatic.
Sudden bleeding in the nose can be a sign of certain health problems, such as liver disease, kidney problems, to severe alcoholism. These various conditions can decrease the ability of blood to clot, so people with it are very likely to experience nosebleeds suddenly.
