Robert Morton, a 55-year-old British man, stood out by chance and mysterious discovery when he navigated the Google Maps application on November 5. The silhouette of an aircraft that is submerged in the waters of the North Sea, off the coast of Edinburgh, Scotland, before your eyes to your surprise.
The finding attracted some local media, including El Espejo, who acknowledged the first statements of this father of three children: "It is very strange and incredible," he said. "I've never seen an airplane in Google Earth, why I find it very strange," he confessed.
According to the images, the plane is 1.1 kilometers from the coast, while the airport is closer to 15 kilometers away in Edinburgh. This is the fact that Robert himself has never been heard of any plane crashing in the area where they have made their suspicions or when it has been seen as real or a product of some Google Maps failure.
Faced with the expectation of the finding, a Google spokesman said: "The reason why it seems that the plane is underwater is that each image of the satellite seen on the map is actually a compilation of several images. objects that move at high speed, such as airplanes, are displayed in one of the many images that are captured to map the same area.
